Discover how Impex warranty and service policy works. 

 

  1. The warranty is confined only to the first purchase of the appliance and is non-transferable.
  2. The warranty period (both Standard Warranty Period and Extended Warranty Period) starts from the date of purchase of the appliance.
  3. Proof of purchase (i.e. Purchase invoice or purchase receipt) along with the corresponding model and/or the serial number of the unit must be presented when requesting service under warranty.
  4. The warranty is valid only when the warranty card (duly filled, signed, and stamped by the selling dealer), along with the original purchase invoice indicating the date of purchase, product details and the dealer’s name is presented to the Company or its authorized service centers, as designated by the Company. Warranty will not be valid without these documents. Any modification, defacement or amendment to these documents shall render this warranty void. The Company reserves the right to decline warranty service, if the above documents are not presented or if the information contained is incomplete or the Warranty Card is found tampered.
  5. The warranty is only valid if the particulars such as serial number, model, etc. in the warranty card match with the product. The customer should ensure this at the time of purchase.
  6. This warranty covers only the repairs and does not entitle the Customer to replacement of the Product.
  7. Any repair under warranty shall be carried out by authorized service personnel only.
  8. Facility to work
    1. The customer shall provide a reasonable, sufficient, and safe working space to access the appliances for service. The customer is liable to move away from all blocking objects or move the appliance to an appropriate location with electricity and space to work.
    2. Any defect in the electrical installation or wiring at the site has to be rectified by the Customer as per the recommendation of Company’s engineers.
  9. In case of repairs or replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Moreover, the time is taken for repair/replacement and in transit whether under the warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the warranty period.
  10. Replacement of parts would be at the discretion of the Company alone. In case the replacement of the entire unit is being made, subject to the sole discretion of the Company, the same model shall be replaced and if the model has been discontinued, it shall be replaced with the equivalent model as deemed by the Company.
  11. Any part of the product replaced by the Company at its discretion shall be with a functionally operative part, which may be new, refurbished or reconditioned.
  12. The Company or its Authorized Service Centre reserves the right to retain any part/s or component replaced at its discretion, in the event of a defect being noticed in the equipment during the warranty period, where a warranty is provided the product or part replaced becomes the property of the Company.
  13. For units installed beyond municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the company’s Authorized Service Centre, an on-site warranty is not applicable and it is the responsibility of the customer to contact the nearest authorized service centre and bring the unit to the authorized service centre at own cost and risk.
  14. Transportation of product
    1. The Warranty for the unexpired period shall continue after the product is inspected by the concerned service Centre and the product is found free from transit damage. The customer shall have to pay a visiting charge towards inspection, as applicable. In case of any transit damage, the product shall be repaired by the concerned service Centre on charges and warranty for the unexpired period to continue.
    2. All expenses incurred in collecting the units or parts thereof from the company’s authorized service centre, as well as expenses incurred in deputizing of service personnel/technicians towards conveyance and other incidentals, if any, will be borne by the customer. Local transportation and handling charges may vary from location to location. Customers are advised to verify before making the product movement.
    3. The Company will not be liable for any damage or loss incurred due to mishandling during transit of the product.
    4. This warranty does not cover the cost of transportation of the Product from the place of installation to the service center.
  15. Free installation or demo of the product can be availed only once and within 30 days from the date of purchase.
  16. The warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of the warranty period as specified in the warranty table, even if the product or part may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason.
  17. In case of any unpredicted situation and spares are not available, the Company’s prevailing depreciation policy (subject to the sole discretion of the Company & could change without prior notice) will be binding on the customer to accept as a commercial solution in lieu of repairs.
  18. No Dealer/Distributor/Retailer has the authority to vary any terms of the warranty.
  19. In case of a defective accessory is found the customer is liable to inform the Company within 6 days from the date of purchase and only the accessory will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of the Company.
  20. Only courts in Manjeri shall have the jurisdiction for settling any claims and disputes arising under the warranty.
  21. The concerned Service Centre will advise the customer whether to effect the repair at the site or its Service Centre.
  22. In the event of any extended warranty offers, it will be the sole responsibility of the customer to get the warranty card duly registered as per the instruction of the company within 10 days from date of purchase. Costs if any will be borne by the customer. To claim an extended warranty, relevant proofs/documents have to be submitted at request.
  23. The Company shall not be liable or be deemed to be in default for any delay of service or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from causes beyond its reasonable control. Including but not limited to, strikes, natural disasters, labor problems, restrictions and regulations of the government, public movement, war, and any unavoidable circumstances, especially vis-a-vis the import of supplies and raw material resulting in a delay in service due to non-availability of any component and /or accessory,  or if the Company is otherwise prevented from performing its functions under this warranty.
  24. Cosmetic, aesthetic, plastic, glass part, cable, wiring, consumables, expendables, promotional items, cabinets, and styling materials, and any accessories provided with the product are not covered under warranty.
  25. Warranty is applicable only if the product has been used as per the instructions given in the user manual.
  26. This Warranty does not cover liability for loss of data, recorded images, and/or business opportunity loss. During the repair, if the content of the hard drive/ memory/external data storage is altered, deleted, or in any way modified the Company shall not be responsible. The product will be returned configured as originally purchased. You are advised to regularly back up your data to prevent damage or loss of any programs or other information.
  27. The warranty is valid only for the products used exclusively in domestic conditions. 
  28. Preventive maintenance, if any, has to be carried out at the specified periods for the warranty to be valid. Unmaintained products will be serviced on a chargeable basis.
  1. Damage or failure caused by unauthorized modification or alteration of product, which will be determined by the company or authorized personnel.
  2. Any damages resulting from unauthorized adaptations or adjustments to the product.
  3. For electrical appliances, any failure due to voltage fluctuation beyond specified tolerance will not be covered under warranty. It is the liability of the customer to operate the appliances within the tolerances as per the user manual.
  4. Consequential or resulting liability, damage, or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect in the product. The Company’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair of defective parts only under the warranty period.
  5. Any external accessories supplied by Dealer/ Company as promotional scheme irrespective whether the same is manufactured by the Company or some other manufacturer. Installation and configuration of accessories, if any.
  6. Damage caused by transportation and handling, including scratches, dents, chips, and/or other damage to the finish of the product. 
  7. The external finish, shine, and color of the product are not covered under warranty.
  8. On removal, tampering, or alteration of any identification labels on the product or any of its components including the serial number.
  9. If the warranty card is not filled properly at the time of purchase or there is any alteration to the data.
  10. If the product has not been installed, operated, maintained, or used in accordance with the instructions and/or specifications given in the user manual provided with the product.
  11. Any defects, damage, malfunction, or failure of the product resulting from alterations, accident, misuse, abuse, spurious/fake accessories, forcible attachment into charging/input port, forcible attachment of non-compatible accessory or part, using liquids or non-recommended cleaners, fire, liquid spillage, miss-adjustment of controls, use on an incorrect voltage, power supply issues, power surges and dips, use of defective or incompatible accessories, the operation of abnormal or corrupt software or program or media of any kind, exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions, commercial use of the product.
  12. Any defects, damage, malfunction, or failure caused by improper installation, repair, maintenance or tampering of the product (Improper repair includes use of parts not approved or specified by the Company or repairs carried out by unauthorized person).
  13. Any defects, damage, malfunction, or failure of the product caused by lightning strikes, entry by any insect, vermin or foreign object, thunderstorm activity, flood or any other acts of good.
  14. Damage or missing items to any display product, open box, discounted or refurbished product.
  15. Any compatibility and connectivity issues unless specified in the user manual or specification sheet.
  16. Damage caused by commercial, business, or industrial usage of the product, except in the case of B2B products. In commercial or industrial use, the products are subjected to harsh and repetitive work involving abuse of the components, and the product is forced to work beyond the operational limits.
  17. This warranty is valid and applicable only to products, which are purchased from the authorized channels of the company.
  18. Re-install /second demo/ explanation /external connections, requests like connecting the external device etc. are chargeable
  19. Faulty product of another company/interconnected device/peripheral is not covered under warranty. (Example: Gaming Consoles (LED TV), Pressure Regulator (Cooktop LPG), etc.)
  20. After the expiry of the Product standard warranty period, all services are on chargeable to the customer.
  21. Expendable and items that require periodical replacement like remote batteries, sealing ring in pressure cookers, etc. are not covered in the warranty.
